    Dale Ferdinand Holmes, 71 years old, died unexpectedly at Westchester Medical Center, Valhalla, N.Y., on Sunday, Feb. 8, 2015. Born to Ferdinand D. and Helen Jean Holmes in Flushing, Queens, N.Y., he lived in Dumont, Hackensack and the Township of Washington, N.J., before moving to Milford, Pa., almost 3 years ago.

    Dale worked as an auto mechanic for his father before taking over the business of Holmes Auto and Truck Repair in Hackensack, N.J., retiring in 2009. He was a member of the National Ski Patrol and served with the Township of Washington Volunteer Ambulance Corps. He was an elder and pioneer of his Kingdom Hall and was a security volunteer at the Warwick Project. of Jehovah's Witnesses.

    Dale was the beloved husband for 45 years of Patricia L. Holmes(nee Gardner) of Milford, Pa. Devoted father of Michelle Misura of Milford, Pa., and Robyn Tarantino of Butler, N.J. Loving grandfather of Jayden, Ethan, Lily and Luke. Dear brother of Carol Abbate of Hardyston Twp., N.J., and Diane Schut of El Dorado Hills, Calif.

    The family will receive their friends at Ferguson Funeral Home, 27 Third Street, Sussex, N.J., on Saturday, Feb. 14, 2015 from 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. There will be a talk at 3 p.m. Burial will be Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2015 at 11:30 a.m. at George Washington Memorial Park, Paramus, N.J., for family only. Memorial gifts to Jehovah’s Witnesses, 25 Columbia Heights, Brooklyn, NY 11201-2483 would be appreciated.
