Virginia Edith Schwinn

Virginia Edith Schwinn (nee Mader), 88 years old, died after a long illness at Andover Subacute and Rehabilitation Center on Wednesday, Feb. 11, 2015. Born to Reginald and Amalia Mader in Hackensack, N.J., she was raised in Park Ridge, N.J., and then lived in Middletown, N.Y., before moving to Franklin, N.J., in 1994.

Virginia worked as a secretary for the Vernon Twp. Road Department for 15 years retiring in 2008.

Virginia was predeceased by her husband, George Schwinn (1990) and was the devoted mother of Gail Hodas and her husband, William, of Franklin, NJ. Dear cousin of Anne Mader Zug, Louis Mader, Adrienne Williams and Muriel Mader Holmes.

The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin, N.J., on Friday, Feb. 13, 2015, from 1 to 3 p.m. Funeral service will follow at 3 p.m. at the funeral home. Cremation will be private and burial of cremains will be scheduled for a later date at Wallkill Cemetery, Wallkill, NY.
