Monarchs starting program for special-needs athletes

    The Monarchs have recently annoucned a hockey program for special needs asthletes.

    The program will launch with a "Try Hockey for Free" program on Saturday, March 21. Check-in will begin at 2 p.m. The event will help launch the Special Needs Hockey program starting in the fall at Skylands Ice World in Stockholm, NJ.

    The Monarchs are a non-profit collaborative initiative to enable participation in organized youth sports programs with a focus on teamwork, sportsmanship and fair play through scholarships, access to facilities and equipment, player and coaching development and mentoring.
