Skylands peewee team wins state title

STOCKHOLM — Skylands Kings Peewee AA (12-and-younger) team won the NJYHL Championship on Feb. 15.
The playoffs were held at Aspen Ice Rink in Randolph. They beat top seeded New Jersey Stars, 4-2, in semifinals and had a convincing 5-0 win against the Hollydell Hurricanes in the championship game.
The team is composed of players from Vernon, Sparta, Hardyston, Lafayette, Jefferson, West Milford, Kinnelon and Warwick, N.Y..
They will now move onto Districts March 13-15, against various teams from Pennsylvania.
