Grand marshals honored at breakfast

This year’s 12th Annual Sussex County St. Patrick's Day Parade in Newton started gearing up Saturday with a breakfast honoring grand marshals Dennis and Mary Harrington, a pair of longtime Franklin residents, at Franklin's Irish Cottage Inn on Route 23.

The parade will be held Saturday, March 21. There are more than 100 units marching in the parade. According to a press release, the parade will step off at 11:30 a.m. from Spring Street near Stuart Street; proceeding up Spring Street, then turning right onto Moran Street to Memory Park where it will disband. Spring Street will be closed at 11 a.m. from Union Place to Moran Street. Parade units will stage starting at 9 a.m. in the lot located between the Moose Lodge and Camp Iliff on Spring Street.
