Sparta woman charged with selling heroin

A Sparta woman faces drug charges after Franklin police said she has allegedly selling heroin in and around the borough.

Dominique Saczawa, 24, of Sparta was charged with distribution of heroin, distribution of heroin in a school zone, possession of heroin, possession of drug paraphernaliaa, possession of hypodermic needles, and the use of heroin.

Police said Saczawa was arrested on March 9 at about 7:40 p.m. on Tuesday, March 9, near Franklin Elementary School on Route 23. According to police, she is alleged to have intended on selling heroin at that time and location.

Police said she allegedly had an undisclosed amount of heroin with her and packaged for sale. Police said she also was in possession of various pieces of drug paraphernalia and several hypodermic needles.

Police said she also had an outstanding warrant for prostitution from Tucson, Ariz.

Police said the investigation is ongoing and additional arrests may follow.
