Stone by Vincenzo to showcase products at Open House
LAKE HOPATCONG — An array of stonework will be showcased during Stone by Vincenzo's Open House celebration on Saturday, March 21 at its Weldon Road showroom. The event will be held from 1 to 4 p.m. Give-aways and refreshments will be offered.
Getting into the granite business
Vincenzo Oliviero has been in the granite business since 1985 when he came to the United States from Naples, Italy. Following in his grandfather's footsteps, he started out working in several different granite shops until 1997 when he went into business with a partner. After working together for 15 years, they decided to part ways and he decided it was time to try going into business on his own.
"I decided on Lake Hopatcong after doing research and realized there was a demand for high end craftsmanship in the granite industry. The area and the building has given me the opportunity to do one-stop shopping," Oliviero said.
Stone by Vincenzo opened its doors in the summer of 2012.
ServicesSpecializing in the custom fabrication of granite, marble and quartz counter top, the company also does fireplace surrounds and outside BBQ’s.
"Word of mouth seems to be the best for us along with our excellent reputation and customer service," said Oliviero.
They also want to get the word out to contractors and kitchen and bath designers in addition to homeowners.
Stone by Vincenzo services Morris, Sussex, and Warren counties in Northern New Jersey, along with the southern counties of Ocean and Monmouth. They also service into Pennsylvania and New York.
"We are very competitive because our entire fabrication is done on our premises in Lake Hopatcong," said Oliviero.
They also have a showroom with more than 80 slabs, and a large variety of remnants for vanities, fireplaces, and more.
Oliviero prides himself on offering "something special, something unique, something distinctly yours."
The business utilizes several warehouses to make customers' color selection in different parts of the state, geographically located for convenience. Stone by Vincenzo has developed an inventory of natural and man-made products that are unique in the counter tops surfacing industry.
"Our large variety of counter top surfaces are applicable to many residential and commercial use," Oliviero said.
In addition to the numerous standard colors of granite available, Stone by Vincenzo has a large assortment of granite, marble, limestone, travertine, onyx, soapstone and slate.
"Through our extensive network of resources we offer a limited lifetime warranty and exceptional turn-around service to ensure that all projects are delivered in a timely fashion. Our workmanship meets the quality standards of a design professional," Oliviero added.
Jim Weber, of Newton, was impressed with the service he received from Stone by Vincenzo.
"I dealt with the owner and the office manager, Debbie Ray, and the process went very smoothly," he said.
He went to their building in Sparta to pick out the stone then, "They came in to do templates and three days later I had new granite tops in my kitchen."
Weber was also pleased that they worked within the time parameters they had given him so he knew when he had to be home.
