Friday Night Magic — An Evening Of Intimate Deceptions

| 12 Mar 2015 | 03:29

This Friday night, March 13, will be the final performance of Friday Night Magic. For the past eight Fridays, Sparta Ave Stage featured a different, exceptional, award winning professional magician up close and personal.

The last show will be a stage show featuring the magic and mentalism of Bobby Torkova. New York City based Torkova is a student of theatre who combines expert sleight of hand with mime and improvisation to create memorable stage experience.

All net profits from this last show will be donated to the Sparta Ecumenical Food Pantry. Food items will also be collected at the door.

Joe Garsetti, magician and co-organizer, states, “the performances we have experienced over the past seven weeks have been artistic, funny and in many cases, beautifully moving. It’s remarkable to see how different all the magicians were as performers and how they could touch on so many emotions. Our biggest surprise however, was to see so many folks from our community returned week after week. We didn’t expect that — in fact, one local resident ‘Rich S.’ has attended every single week.”

Show times are 7 and 9 p.m., this last week, doors will open early at 6 p.m. — come early and for some coffee, water, snacks or bring your own.

“Table Hopping Magic” by Alex Apter and Tanner Sommese; two young, talented, up and coming Sussex County magicians will also be on hand. Alex and Tanner are students of Bill Wisch’s sleight of hand magic class that is being offered at the Sparta Avenue Stage.
