Art Etc. plans art classes, workshops

HAMBURG — Art Etc of Hamburg introduces a brand-new lineup of classes and workshops for teens and adults in Sussex County.

The first set of classes is slated to begin in March and run through the month of April, with the next block of classes to start early in May.

Students of all skill levels are welcome to participate in the classes, held at the 2 Main St. location.

Oscar Beck, Tim Maher, and Ann Greene are educators leading Art Etc's first classes. Topics range from figure drawing and painting to experimental mixed media. Art Etc's introductory class "Painting with Oscar Beck" will be dedicated to the basics. Students will be familiarized with the tools of the trade, names and functions of brushes, acrylic paints, color theory and mixing colors.

"Figure Drawing with Tim Maher" will allow students to gain experience working from a live model. Light, shade, color, and anatomy will be discussed as students learn how the figure relates to its surrounding space.
