Maren Heather Brazel

Maren Heather Brazel, 68, passed away Monday, March 9, 2015. Maren, daughter of the late John and Jean (Thompson) Brazel was born in Edgerton, Wis. on March 4, 1947. She grew up and lived the majority of her life in Franklin, N.J., before moving to Pennsylvania, and later to Florida.

Maren was a painter and a cook. She loved travelling out west, especially to Yellowstone National Park, where she worked for several years. Upon returning to N.J., Maren began another job she came to truly love – being the cook at Blue Crest Farms in Long Valley.

Maren had been struggling with illness for years, but recently felt well enough to spend her final birthday with loved ones. She died peacefully in her sleep.

She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Susan L. Wancho in 1993 and J. Laurel Veccia in 1994. Maren is survived by her sisters Janice Schweitzer of Hope, N.J., and Donna Brazel of Haines City, Fla.; nieces and nephew, Jennifer Brazel of Lake Tranquility and Nicole Wancho and Michael Wancho of Del Rio, Texas.
