Wendy's to host fundraiser for Blue Star Salute

JEFFERSON — Wendy’s, at the corner of Route 15 and Edison Road in Jefferson Township, will a fundraiser for the Blue Star Salute committee on Thursday, April 9.

Wendy’s will donate a percentage of their sales between the hours of 5 p.m. and 8 p.m.

The Blue Star Salute is a ceremony that will honor the men and women of Jefferson Township, who have served in the U.S. armed forces from Desert Storm to the present and the Vietnam War. The ceremony also includes their families. It is sponsored by the American Legion Post No. 423 in Milton.

Funds realized from this donation will be used to pay for the costs involved with the Blue Star Salute ceremony that will be held on Saturday, May 2, 2015, in the Jefferson Township High School auditorium. The ceremony will begin at 10 a.m.
