The Sussex County YMCA will host its 13th annual golf outing on Wednesday, May 20, at Ballyowen Golf Club in Hardyston.

The event will honor a dedicated community supporter, Lisa Fairclough. Proceeds from the event support the programs and services that the Y provides for children, families, adults and seniors in our community.

Fairclough sits on the Leadership Board at Project Self-Sufficiency, a not-for-profit advocating for family stability and economic self-sufficiency through promotion and creating a welcoming environment within their new location. She has also been appointed to the Sussex County Trustee Search Committee, which provides leadership and responsible stewardship in balancing the current and emerging needs of Sussex County Community College.

Most recently, she received Honorable Mention for the 2015 Enterprising Women of the Year Awards. Fairclough has been chosen from hundreds of nominees from around the world to receive honorable mention as a finalist for the award.

The public is invited to take a swing and participate in this event, which includes a play-your-own-ball tournament at New Jersey's top-rated golf course. The day will begin at 7:15 a.m., with registration and a boxed breakfast to go, followed promptly by Tournament Instruction at 8:45 a.m. and a shotgun start at 9 a.m. The afternoon will conclude with a hor d'oeuvres and a cocktail reception at 2:45 p.m., followed by dinner and the presentation of the honoree at 4 p.m.
