A Paterson woman faces charges after borough police investigated a report of a customer at Weiss losing an envelope with $950 in it on Sunday, April 5.

Aurea T. Pagan, 50, was charged with theft.

Police allege Pagan had taken the envelope from the victim without her permission or knowledge. Police said they recovered $930 of the money. Police said Pagan also had outstanding warrants from Paterson and Clifton. Both municipalities released her on her own recognizance.

She is expected to appear in Sussex County Superior Court on Wednesday, April 15, to answer the theft charges.
