The seventh- and eighth-grade music class performed "Eye of the Tiger" and "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" to open the March 30 Franklin School Board of Educatoin on Monday, March 30.

The performance was accompanied by their music teacher Patrick Vetter. The teens recently attended a teen arts festival and performed for the judges at the festival and were fantastic, Vetter said.

He also praised the students and expressed to the Franklin Board of Education that the teens were so dedicated they practiced on their own time.

    Superintendent Thomas Turner
informed the public and the Board of Education that “Somewhere over the Rainbow” was the most recorded song ever before thanking Vetter for bringing the teen arts to the school board meeting.

"Nice job, boys and girls," Turner said.
