St. Jude's teams win invitational title

LAFAYETTE — St. Jude's fifth- and eighth-grade boys basketball teams were both recently crowned champions of the prestigious annual Lafayette Invitational Tournament.

The tournament included many of the strongest town teams from Sussex and neighboring counties.

The 5th grade team consists of fourth and fifth graders from Wallkill Valley: C.J. Brunner, Daniel Falk, Jack France, Ryan Keena, Thomas Kopf, Erik Kostelnik,

Shane Nugent, Nathaniel Pluviose, Xavier Roopchand.

The eighth-grade team consists of seventh- and eighth-graders from Wallkill Valley: Zane Crum, Tim Dean, Shawn Falk, Blake Helmstetter, Garett Koch, Jake Lonsky, Ben Mizeski, Justin Rivera, Derek Snyder and Mason White.
