Boating Safety course planned

    Boating Safety First is conducting the Boat N.J. course, Saturday, May 2 from 8 a.m. until 5 p.m. at the Garden State Yacht Club in Lake Hopatcong.

    Club members receive a discounted course fee of $65, non-club members $75.

    This course is approved by the N.J. State Police Marine Services Bureau and the National Association of State Boating Law Administrators. Students are eligible to receive the N.J. Boating Safety Certificate at the completion of this one-day course and passing the exam.

    The N.J. Boating Safety Certificate is required to operate a power boat legally on the state's inland waterways.
