Wallkill Valley FBLA holds car wash

FRANKLIN — The Franklin Wash ‘N Lube, located at 2 Mitchell Avenue, Franklin, sponsored a car wash from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on April 4, 2014, for the benefit of the Wallkill Valley Regional High School chapter of Future Business Leaders of America.

The $300 proceeds from the car wash help to defray the cost of six FBLA members who will be competing at the 2015 FBLA National Leadership Conference in Chicago, Illinois, on June 27-July 3 in the following events: Who’s Who in FBLA – Carly DeOliveira; Community Service Project – Carly DeOliveira, Vincent Moncelsi; Desktop Publishing – Laura David, Nicole Fadel; Desktop Publishing – Mikayla Savastano; and Introduction to Parliamentary Procedure – Ana Schroeder.

In addition, Scott Mueller will lead the New Jersey contingency as the 2015-16 state membership vice president. Wallkill Valley FBLA members Merinda Gruszecki, Kyle McKenna, and Amanda Spindler will also attend the conference.
