Local government is typically inept

I would like to point out some obvious ineptitude of the typical local government. We have a problem here and no one seems to be talking about it. Instead they go back and forth about ridiculous nonsense like for example, "revitalizing Main Street". Who cares? Go stick a sign on Route 23 that says Main Street. There, it's revitalized. Rename the old one ,'Old Main," or some other stupid name like Littell Street or Obama Avenue, Bush Boulevard, whatever, it doesn't really matter. I hear a lot about some stupid billboard down by the pond. I couldn't care less about that. Taxes are high enough without having to pay some stupid billboard so little Johnny can play football. Aren't there fields at the schools? Or poor what's-her-face down there that doesn't want her house taken by eminent domain. Let's face it, 90 percent of what local governments do is just figuring out ways to spend money in ways that affects the average person's daily life in no way at best or a negative way at worst. The problem I'm talking about is garbage pickup, specifically the pickup of electronics. I have heard nothing about this, whatsoever. I live near the Wallkill River. Yesterday I went there, just because it's a nice place look at, and there, in the middle of the river, is a television. What? I drive around town and see televisions abandoned everywhere. This policy of not picking up electronics is the most ridiculous thing I've ever seen and they really need to figure out how to make it happen. And if they have figured it out they better advertise it because people are dumping these stupid TVs all over the place because the garbage man doesn't take them. Please government, stop worrying about nonsense, and I'm talking about all the local governments, not just Franklin . We pay taxes, plenty of them, please put it to good use.
