    Robert Edward “Grandpa Bob” Matisko, 88, died Tuesday April 14, 2015, at Newton Medical Center. Mr. Matisko, son of the late John and Mary (Wallo) Matisko, was born in Edwardsville, Pa., May 22, 1926. He has been a resident of Franklin for most of his life.

    Mr. Matisko was a tool and diemaker at Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway Twp. and served for 7 years as president of the AFGE Union Local #225. He was a U.S. Navy WWII Veteran and a member of Sgt. Francis M. Glynn American Legion Post #132 of Franklin. Mr. Matisko was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception RC Church in Franklin. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and carpentry.

    Mr. Matisko was predeceased by his wife Ann Matisko in 2011, brothers; Joseph, Edward, John and Thomas Matisko and a sister, Mary Herring. He is survived by his daughter, Robin Skellenger of Franklin; grandchildren, Stephen Skellenger of Franklin and Nicole Skellenger of Franklin; sister, Dorothy Lonardi of Harrisburg, Pa., as well as many nieces and nephews.

    Funeral services will be held Monday, April 20, 2015, at 9:15 a.m. from F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main St., Franklin, to Immaculate Conception RC Church, Franklin for a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian burial. Private cremation will follow.
