Bonnie Klim, age 68, of Hampton, formally of Vernon, passed away on Friday, April 17, 2015, at her home while surrounded by her loving family after a long illness. Born on Dec. 1, 1946, in Paterson to the late Robert and Jeanne (Adams) Devaney, Bonnie was raised in Riverdale and Butler and graduated from DePaul High School in Wayne and Belleview School of Nursing in New York City. She had been an emergency room nurse at the former Alexander Linn Hospital in Sussex, had worked as a public health nurse for the Sussex County Public Health Nursing, was a nurse at Westwind Hall Retirement Home in Franklin, and retired from Eye Physicians of Sussex County. Bonnie had served as the president of the Vernon Viking Club in the late 1980s, was a volunteer at the Bee Hive Thrift Shop in Newton, and was a member of the Vernon Choral Society in the 1990's. Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her stepdaughter, Shelley Sonderman. Bonnie is survived by her husband of 31 years, Chuck Klim; her daughter, Suzanne Boyle Mayer and her husband. Sean. of Lafayette; her sons, Christopher Boyle and his wife. Jenna. of Fredon and David Boyle and his wife, Kelly of Littleton, Colo.; her step-daughter, Karalee Pieluc of Howell; her sister, Theresa Brace of Philadelphia; her brother, Robert Devaney of Arizona; and her grandchildren, Nicholas, Sara, Caitlyn, Haylee, Eddie, Ryan, Chelsea, Carissa, Eddie, Ryan, and Rowan. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 22, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the Pinkel Funeral Home, 31 Bank Street (Route 23), Sussex. Interment will follow at Frankford Plains Cemetery. Friends may pay their respects to the family on Tuesday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
