Wallkill Valley FBLA hosts prom for senior citizens

HAMBURG — The Wallkill Valley Regional High School Chapter of Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) hosted a Senior Citizens’ Prom on April 17, 2015, in the high school cafeteria from 6-9 p.m.

About 120 senior citizens attended. The cafeteria was decorated in a luau theme.

FBLA members contributed food and helped with setup, decorations, serving, cleanup, and, of course, dancing with the seniors. Those members are Fiona Brown, Derek Hendershot, Tori Yodice, Gabrielle Conte, Arielle Stampone, Laura David, Sara Miceli, Mackenzie Dunn, Madison Gerisch, Flor Romero, Amanda Spindler, Alexis DeOliveira, Carly DeOliveira, Merinda Gruszecki, Nicole Fadel, Randi Lyn Hornyak, Leo Lorencetti, Ana Schroeder, Hope Inglis, Breanna Ebisch, Allison Lame, Gabriella Ciasullo, McKenzie Dunn, Megan Mamarella, and Vinny Limon.

Andrew Millar served as disk jockey for the evening. Door prizes were awarded; and Blanche Pizzulo and Mr. Frank Karpowicz were crowned the Prom Queen and King.
