Wayne Ingerto, the supervisor of Building and Grounds at the Ogdensburg School, will resign from the school district effective July 1, the Board of Education revealed on Tuesday, April 14.

"It's a loss of a friend," said Deidre Cook, the president of the Ogdensburg Association. "He was a professional and talented man."

Interim Superintendent/Principal Ernest Palestis praised Ingerto's "fabulous work," saying he was at the top of his profession. Palestis told Ingerto losing him will be very had because he never had to tell him to do anything.

Ingerto worked for the school district for 38 years. District officials said he is taking another position out of state.
