Sussex men face drug charges

Two Sussex residents face drug charges after a Franklin police investigation alleged they have been selling heroin and crack cocaine in the borough.

John E. Hall, Jr., 27, and Logan Zeigler, 23, both were charged with distribution of heroin, distribution of heroin in a school zone, possession of heroin, distribution of crack cocaine, distirbution of crack cocaine in a school zone, possession of crack cocaine, possession of drug paraphernallia, possession of hypodermic needles and use of heroin and crack cocaine.

Police said they were arrested on Monday, April 20, at about 7:45 p.m. near the Hardyston Elementary School on route 23 in Franklin. Police allege they were selling heroin and crack cocaine at the time of theirr arrest.

Police said both were alleged to have an undisclosed amount of heroin and crack cocaine ready and packaged for sale. Both were further found to be in possession of various pieces of drug paraphernalia including pipes commonly used to smoke crack cocaine and several hypodermic needles, police said.

Investigation is ongoing and additional arrests may follow.

They were sent to the Sussex County Jail in lieu of $53,000 bail each with no 10 percent option.
