VERNON — EarthFest 2015 was once again held at Heaven Hill Farm on Route 94 on Sunday.
The 15th such festival and was organized by Vernon Chamber Charities and the Vernon EarthFest Committee. The event was coordinated by Margaret Kranz of Valley National Bank.
The hundreds of people who attended form Vernon and neighboring communities came out a fairly-warm day for the five-hour Earth Day celebration. Events in the greenhouse included Snakes ’n’ Scales, Eyes of the Wild, Rizzo’s Reptiles, and Birds of Prey. Events held on the covered patio area included Oliver the Goose Story Time, the Bear Group, Sierra Club’s New Jersey Chapter Skylands Group, and the Vernon Township Environmental Commission.
