The Ogdensburg School Vice Principal recently reported on April 14 that nine students' parents have opted their children out of the Partnership for Assessment of Readiness for College and Careers test.

The tests will be administered starting Monday, April 27, and testing will go on through May.

She also reported the anti-bullying study team's presentation at an Individulaized Educaion Program meeting in which parents gave positive feedback.

The district's tentative graduation day is June 18. The final date will be announced at the next Board of Education meeting.

Computer SafetySchool board member Stacey Walsh asked Bonaparte what safeguards are being taken on computers to prevent a child from seeing inappropriate material on the internet.

Bonaparte told Walsh a brand new firewall was installed on the computers. Bonaparte said blocks can be put on the computers.

Also, the hope is that the addition of Google on the computers that will be used for instruction can possibly help this situation. If a child is looking at inappropriate material the student is suspended.

Bonaparte told Walsh and the Board of Education that there is a program called a digital library that teaches students what is an appropriate website and what is an inappropriate website.
