— Formerly located in Lafayette, Cailey jewelers has moved after ten years in the location.

The new store, on Rt. 206 in Augusta, is located near SCARC, Fonzarelli’s Collision and many other local businesses.

The new location hopes to bring new faces into the business.

Owner Todd Deming knows a thing or two about the business. His grandfather and great uncles were watch makers.

“There is close to 75 years of family history in the Jewelry business,” Deming said.

He owned Hillsdale Jewelers until he sold it to his uncle in 2005.

Deciding to come to the community he lived in, he opened Cailey Jewelers in Lafayette.

Named after his daughter, the business prides itself on being the full service local Jeweler. They repair watches, replace batteries, and offer repairs on your most valuable pieces.

There is a variety of merchandise. Prices are as diverse as the selection. Customers can purchase anything from children’s first jewelry pieces, to estate or novelty pieces, watches, gifts and engagement and wedding jewelry.

Cailey Jewelers has established themselves in the community. Deming is very involved in the Lafayette Federated church. He graduated from Highpoint Regional High school. His store has sponsored local sports teams, donated to tricky trays and booster clubs.

Recently, after having a special piece of jewelry from a departed husband re-created into something she will cherish forever, Debbie Reed said, "Todd understands the meaning jewelry has to the individual and he always tries to make the piece special for you. Whether it is for these special pieces, gifts for any occasion, repairs or a battery watch, Cailey’s is my jeweler."
