Art workshops offered in May

| 07 May 2015 | 01:45

This May the Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council will be hosting two workshops: “Foolproof Concepts of Design” and “Foolproof Concepts of Color.”

Both workshops will be lead by Phyllis Schmidt.

"Visual charts will accompany my presentation as I discuss how easily our eyes trick our brains, and how to knowingly compensate for their trickery. By understanding these concepts, you will be able to intelligently plan Interior Design Decorating, Landscape Design, Architectural Design, Clothing Choices, effective Photography, and Arts & Crafts, to name but a few," Schmidt explains. "Art truly has basic guidelines for useful, excellent composition, known as 'Formal Symmetrical Design' and 'Informal Asymmetrical Design.' Also, color no longer has to be a guessing game, as it also has a variety of proven guidelines, based on visual and scientific evidence. By looking at several examples of design and color, I believe they will help you to make effective choices for your future projects and lifetslyes."
