Desir'ee Hamler, a 2011 graduate of Pope John XXIII Regional High School and a native of Franklin was awarded the College Athletic Eagle Award at Husson University for her performance on the women's soccer team.

Hamler is pursuing a doctorate of pharmacy.

"Desir'ee has been a true testament to the power of hard work and perseverance across her four years with Husson women's soccer," women's soccer coach Carly Gettler said. "She is the first ever student-athlete to play two years of a varsity sport while enrolled in Husson's Doctorate of Pharmacy program and she has set a tremendous example for her peers in the classroom and on the field.
