Tri-State Actors Theater will hold company auditions for its 2015 Summer Intern Training Program on Saturdays, May 30 through June 28.

Tri-State Actors Theater has trained hundreds of students who are interested in learning the art of theater and performing, since its first season in the summer of 1989. This summer’s Family Production is the musical, "I Believe In Make Believe."

Auditions for TAT’s 28th Summer Season, under the direction of Tri-State’s Artistic Director and Founder, Paul Meacham, are open to students, ages 13 through 18; appointments are not necessary. Auditioners will be asked to read selected characters from the script and sing a simple tune. Head shots and resume will be accepted, but are not required.

All auditions will be held from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. (except June 7, from 10 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.) at the Sussex County Arts & Heritage Council office, 133 Spring St, Newton.

The Intern Program begins July 6, with three weeks of rehearsals, from 10 a.m. until 3 p.m., Monday through Friday. Production dates for "I Believe In Make Believe" are July 29 through Aug. 8.

All rehearsals and performances will be at Drama Geek Studies, Gail Court, Sparta. Interns must be available for all rehearsals and performances. There is a $200 non-refundable registration fee for the program. Past season production’s include "The Pirates of Penzance," "The Wind in the Willows," "Winnie the Pooh," "Jungle Book," "Hey, Ho Pinocchio," "Charlotte’s Web," and many others.
