Library expands online magazine offerings

The Sussex County Library System has announced upgrades to its Zinio for Libraries database that make it easier for patrons to access and read a wide variety of magazines using almost any, internet-enabled device.

Anyone with a computer, tablet or smartphone plus a valid SCLS library card can access more than 30 magazine titles, no matter where they are.

Upgrades to the system mean new users need only create one account or download the correct app to sign in. Current users can streamline their service by installing the new app for their device (they do not appear as upgrades to current apps) and continue to access any content already checked out to their library account.

The SCLS has continued the most popular titles – Good Housekeeping, Family Handyman and Newsweek are among the titles most frequently viewed – and added a variety of new titles as well including Reader’s Digest, Popular Science and Shape.

A full list of titles plus easy instructions for creating a free Zinio account can be found on the library’s website at www.sussexcountylibrary.org.
