Wallkill Valley students succeed at art show

Wallkill Valley Regional High School students achieved success at the first High Point Invitational Art Show.

Laura David won first place for drawing and painting. Madi Ryder was second place for crafts and Nicole Spangenberg was second for photography. Kylee Nicolai was third for photography and Rebecca Kowalenko was third for drawing.

Workshop Scholarships to Antonelli School of Photography were given to Kylee Nicolai and Nicole Spangenberg.

The William Paterson University Merit Scholarship was awarded to Rebecca Kowalenko.

Montserrat College of Art in Boston awarded their $20,000 ($5000 for each of four years) scholarship award to Merinda Gruszecki.

Nicole Rotunda, Kara Kovach, Michelle Gordon and Jonathan Buffington also had their work exhibited in this selective show.
