Jefferson Arts Committee plans concert

OAK RIDGE — The Jefferson Arts Committee’s Gazebo Committee is pleased to announced that The Jefferson Township Community Band and Jazz Band will open the 2015 free summer concert series on Friday, June 26, at the Victorian gazebo, located in the Jefferson Township Municipal Complex, beginning at 7 p.m.

The community band will present a wonderful repertoire of popular favorites including the classics, Broadway musicals, standard marches, and patriotic salutes performed by talented local musicians under the direction of Peter Tummillo. Also performing will be the energizing jazz band ensemble also directed by Peter Tummillo.

Attendees are asked to bring a blanket or chair for their comfort; and non-alcoholic beverages, picnic dinners, and snacks are permitted on the grounds unless the concert is moved indoors due to weather conditions. In the event of the threat of inclement weather or such weather, the concert will be moved indoors to the Jefferson Township High School auditorium, 1010 Weldon Road.
