    Evelyn B. Petersen (nee Brown), 89 years old, died after a long illness at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis, N.Y., on Thursday, June 11. Born to Elwood A. and Bessie B. Brown in Paterson, N.J., she had lived in Ogdensburg, N.J., for many years before moving to Milford, Pa., 16 years ago.

    Evelyn graduated high school and then attended hair dressing school and then worked at Picatinny Arsenal in Wharton, N.J., then owned and operated Evelyn’s Beauty Shop in Ogdensburg, N.J., then worked as a teller at Hardyston National Bank and then retired as a bookkeeper for Andover Nursing Home after 12 years in 1988. She took great joy in singing for the choirs and playing the organs at the Ogdensburg and Franklin First Presbyterian Church’s. She was a very dedicated doting grandmother.

    Evelyn was predeceased by her husband, Joseph Chuchwa (1965) and a sister, Regina Rapole (2013) and is the devoted mother of William J. Chuchwa and his wife, Rhonda, of Milford, Pa. Loving grandmother of Kristin Chuchwa of Golden, Colo. Dear sister of Elaine Hebert and her husband, Roland, of Palm Coast, Fla. Cherished aunt of David and Mindy Hebert, Colleen and Michelle Hebert and John Rapole.

    The family will receive their friends at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main Street, Franklin, N.J., on Monday, June 15, 2015, from 6-9 p.m. Funeral service will be Tuesday, June 16, 2015, at 11 a.m. at the funeral home.
