Eóghan Mahon Demsak was granted his angel wings as he passed peacefully in his sleep on June 13, 2015. He was born May 9, 2012 at Morristown Hospital and lived in Stockholm, NJ. He was known to his family and friends as Owie.

Although Owie’s short time on earth has come to an end, he touched all those around him and will continue to as he watches over his loved ones from heaven. His gentle smile and beautiful head of hair could melt the hearts of those around him and though he never spoke a word, his voice and thoughts could always be heard. Owie’s strength, perseverance, and an ability to overcome incredible odds were an inspiration to all who knew him.

Owie leaves behind many wonderful caregivers that provided love and support that enhanced his quality of life. His love extends to these wonderful nurses, doctors, therapists and teachers.

Owie is survived by his loving parents, Nick and Meg Demsak of Stockholm; sister Máire; brother Caolán; paternal grandparents Marilyn and Ed McCann of Hampton Township and Dominick Demsak Sr of Myrtle Beach, S.C.; maternal grandparents Carol and Paul Crowley of Franklin Borough; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and extended family.

Relatives and friends will be received at F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main Street, Franklin, N.J., on Tuesday, June 16, from 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. All are invited to attend a Mass of Christian burial service on Wednesday June 17 at 10 a.m. at the Immaculate Conception RC Church Franklin, NJ, Committal and interment services at Immaculate Conception Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made in Eóghan’s name to the Dawn Center for Independent Living, Early Intervention, 66 Ford Road, Suite 121, Denville, NJ 07834 or the SCARC Foundation at http://www.scarcfoundation.org.
