Tri-state offers summer theater camp

NEWTON — Tri-State Actors Theater will offer a one-week Summer Theater Camp for Children, June 29 through July 3 at The SpringBoard Shoppes, 145 Spring Street, Newton.

The theater program, for children aged 6 through 12, will include acting activities, warm-up exercises, theatre games and improv, theater arts and crafts. The camp will meet each day from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.

There will be a short recital for family and friends on the final day of camp. Camp registration fee is $200 per student.

Tri-State Actors Theater offers opportunities to young performers, both new and experienced, which teach and cultivate the art of acting. Theater arts support a child’s capacity for creative thinking and imagining, problem solving, creative judgment and other skills as well as social interaction.
