    June 15Jermaine D. Tucker, 36, of Stockholm pleaded guilty to two counts of third-degree fraudulent use of a credit card. Sentencing is scheduled for July 24.

    In January, the defendant found a credit card on the ground at a gas station in Franklin, picked up the card and used it at two locations. The defendant did not have permission from the owner to use the card.

    James W. McCloughy, 34, of Rockawawy pleaded guilty to third-degree possession of a controlled a dangerous substance.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 7.

    During a motor vehicle stop by Hopatcong Police the defendant was found to be in possession of 140 folds of Heroin.

    June 19Robert Ross, 68, of Branchville was sentenced to five years of probation, 364 days jail time and credit for 589 days served. Minimum fees and fines were ordered as was $750 in restitution. As a condition of probation, Ross must continue mental health treatment.

    Ross had previously pleaded guilty to three counts of third-degree arson for fires he admitted starting in Branchville. This matter was investigated by The Sussex County Prosecutors Office, the New Jersey State Police and the fire marshall.

    Sherry Hill, 25, of Newton was sentenced to two years of probation, mandator court fines and 113 days jail credit for time served.

    She pleaded guilty on May 4 to the third-degree crime of possession with intent to distribute heroin on Feb. 26 in Newton to an individual cooperating with the Sussex County Gangs, Guns and Narcotics Task Force.

    Richard Cowan, 52, of Newton was sentenced to three years of probation, 196 days jail credit for time served, mandatory court fines and continue with M.I.C.A. program and a six-month loss of his driver's license.

    He pleaded guilty on May 11 to the third-degree crime of possession of a controlled dangerous substance. He admitted to possessing heroin on his person on Nov. 25, 2013, after a motor-vehicle stop was conducted by Hardyston Detective M. Mmasters for throwing a hypodermic needle out the window of a motor vehicle driven by another.

    Katelynn E. Shipps, 24, of Wantage was sentenced to five years of probation, 364 days in jail with 112 days jail credit for time servied, mandatory court fines and a six-month loss of her driver's license.

    She pleaded guilty on April 13 to third-degree crime of possession with intent to distribute a controlled dangerous substance. She admitted she possessed heroin during the course of a motor-vehicle stop by Franklin Officer J. Babcock on Feb. 26.

    Dominque Saczawa, 24, of Sparta was sentenced to three years in state prison, 102 days jail credit for time served, mandatory court fines, a six-month loss of driver's license and a mtor vehicle ticket for obstruction of windshield for vision.

    She pleaded guilty on April 27 to the third-degree crime of possession with intent to distribute heroin on March 9 in the borough of Franklin.

    The matter was investigated by Franklin Detective VanderPloeg.

    June 22Heather Hardick, 32, of Wantage was sentenced to 180 days in the Keogh-Dwyer Correctional Facility with credit for 174 days served. She must also serve a probation term of one year and pay mandatory minimum penalties.

    She pleaded guilty on May 12 to fourth-degree throwing bodily fluids and violating a probation term she is currently on.

    In April, when New Jersey State Troopers responded to an incident involving the defendant, she was found to be intoxicated and she spat on one of the troopers.

    Antoinette MacDonald, 34, of Newton was sentenced to two years of probation and a six-month loss of her driver's license. She also must complete 10 hours of community service, maintain employment, obtain TASC evaluation and follow all recommendations and pay mandatory fines and fees.

    She pleaded guilty on April 20, to third-degree possession of a controlled dangerous substance.

    While responding to a disturbance call in January, Newton police came upon the defendant who had an active warrant. MacDonald was then arrested and taken into custody. During the search incident to the arrest the defendant was found to be in possession of heroin.

    Steve Liptak, 62, of Princeton pleaded guilty to fourth degree driving while license is suspended.

    Sentencing is scheduled for Aug. 14.

    On March 22, in Sandyston, Liptak was found to be driving with a suspended license after a motor vehicle stop for maintenance of lamps. The matter was investigated by Trooper Betz of the New Jersey state police.
