Michael Johnson, Danielle Polak marry in Morristown

Michael Garrett Johnson of Hardyston Township and Danielle Polak of Rutherford were married at 5 p.m. on May 8, 2015, at the Morristown United Methodist Church in Morristown.

The Reverend Brandon Cho officiated.

A reception followed in the Conservatory at The Madison Hotel in Madison.

The groom is the son of George and Terry Johnson of Hardyston Township. The bride is the daughter of John and Nora Polak of Rutherford. Matthew Johnson, the groom's brother, was best man. Groomsmen were Max Mankin and Jay Polak. Samantha Polak, the bride's sister, was maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Kayla Murphy and Rebecca Johnson. Amanda Murtaugh sang at the ceremony and Nick Macri shared a reading from the Bible.

The groom graduated from Wallkill Valley Regional High School in 2007, earned a BA with Honors from Brown University in 2011, and earned a MFA in Fiction Writing from Emerson College in 2014. He is employed by the Englewood Cliffs Board of Education.

The bride graduated from Rutherford High School in 2007, earned a BA Magna Cum Laude from Seton Hall University in 2011, and earned a MA from Boston College in 2013. She is employed by Paramus Catholic High School.

Following a honeymoon cruise to Bermuda, Mr. and Mrs. Johnson reside in Hawthorne, New Jersey.
