Thousands of residents spent a lovely summer day behind the Weldon Road location of the Jefferson Township High School on Saturday.

The 29th annual Jefferson Township Day celebration included everything from a parade to a fishing derby to fireworks in the evening.

Other attractions included a hot-dog eating contest, the New Jersey Hall of Fame Mobile Museum, a petting zoo, and lots of live music. There also were several food vendors and inflatable activities for the children.
