Donald Robert Godowsky, Sr.

Donald Robert Godowsky, Sr., 78 years old, died after a short illness at Kindred Hospital in Dover, N.J., on Saturday, July 25, 2015. Born to Theodore and Bessie Godowsky in Paterson, N.J., he had lived there and in Lincoln Park, N.J., and Villas, N.J., for 15 years before moving to Hardyston Twp., N.J., in February of this year.

Donald served with the United States Air Force during the Korean War and then worked as a driver for Sheppard Bus Service in Cape May, N.J., for many years retiring in 2014. He enjoyed working, reading and sports.

Donald was the beloved husband of Joan Lynn Godowsky(nee Asay) of Hardyston Twp., N.J. Devoted father of Donald R. Jr. of Wayne, N.J., Mark J. of Lake Hopatcong, N.J., Michael J. of Hamburg, N.J., Carolyn Montano of West Milford, N.J., and Christopher of Franklin, N.J. Loving grandfather (Pepa) of Donald, III, Dana, Ashley, Rachel, Jessica, Jayden, Kyla and Kyri. Great-grandfather (Pepa) of Devon, Tyler, Talia and Damon. Father-in-law of Dawn Godowsky and Ed Montano.
