    Thompson Francis Jones, 89 years old, died after a short illness at his home on Wednesday, Aug. 5, 2015. Born to George E. and Celia B. Jones in Syracuse, N.Y., after 18 years, he moved to New York City, N.Y., for 4 years and then he had lived in Dover, N.J. for 13 years and then moved to Franklin, N.J., in 1960.

    Thompson served with the United States Army Air Corps during World War II then worked as a draftsman at Picatinny Arsenal in Wharton, N.J., and then worked as an assistant plant engineer for Warner-Lambert in Morris Plains, N.J., for 20 years before retiring in February of 1986. Thompson was an active member of the Franklin Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.

    Thompson was predeceased by a brother, George Jones (1931) and a sister, Dorothy Lambert (2002) and was the husband of Reina Maria Jones (nee Fabian) of Franklin, N.J. Father of Robert Jones of Franklin N.J., George Jones of Franklin, N.J., and Thompson D. Jones of New York City, N.Y. Grandfather of Allyson Lynn Jones. Brother of Celia Jones of Syracuse, N.Y., David Jones of Skokie, Ill., Robert Jones of Ypsilanti, Mich., Mary Jones of Delmar, N.Y., Betty Lambert of Ridgefield, Conn., and Barbara Geiszler of Chambersburg, Pa. Also survived by many nieces and nephews.

    Graveside services by F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main Street, Franklin, N.J., will be at North Hardyston Cemetery, Hardyston Twp., N.J., on Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at 9 a.m. Memorial service will be Saturday, Aug. 8, 2015, at 7 p.m. at the Franklin Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
