Backman appointed to VP at Lakeland Bank

OAK RIDGE — Patricia Backman has appointed to vice president of finance for Lakeland Bank, which is based in Oak Ridge.

Backman joins Lakeland Bank with 26 years of industry experience most recently with Spencer Savings Bank in Elmwood Park as vice president controller.

Prior to that, she was with Sussex Bank in Franklin for 15 years as senior vice President pontroller. Backman earned a bachelor’s degree in business administration from West Virginia Wesleyan College and is a graduate of the Stoner School of Banking.

She served as president of the United Way of Northern New Jersey from 2013-15. Backman is a resident of Stockholm.
