Councilman George Hutnick on Monday, Aug. 10, gave an update regarding Ogdensburg Day which will be Saturday, September 19th, in the Ogdensburg Fire House Field.

Hutnick is the lead organizer of the event, which was first initiated last year in order to celebrate Ogdensburg's 100-year anniversary.

He is organizing: Italian Restaurants, vendors, bands, activities for all ages, hamburgers, sausage and peppers, hotdogs, pizza, funnel cakes, possibly a winery, a beer garden, and more.

He also is planning with Party Perfect to provide a bigger variety of things for younger kids to do, and he hopes to secure a train.

The time frame for blowups should be 12-6 p.m., and the bands will probably go to 9:45 p.m.

Vendors may participate for $25, unless non-profit. They will include new items, hand-crafted items, informational items, but no garage sale type items.

Hutnick said he is working hard to make sure that each vendor is unique, so similar food items or products will not compete with each other. Also, he said he would like to fill the field with vendors.

Set-up will be no earlier than 7:30 a.m. on Saturday morning.

The council also spoke about generators and various possibilities. Councilwoman Regina Rizzo will organize banners for all of the poles.
