    Philip Wetzel, 79, passed away at his residence with his family at his side on Friday, Aug. 21, 2015. Philip was born on March 31, 1936, in Port Jervis, N.Y., to the late Robert and Emma (nee Storms). Wetzel was a resident of Wantage before moving to Ogdensburg 45 years ago.

    Philip was a Mail Carrier for the United States Postal Service in Ogdensburg, N.J., for many years retiring in 1992. Philip served in the United States Marine Corps during peacetime. Philip is a member of Masons of Kittatinny Lodge #164 F & AM.

    Philip was predeceased by his brother, Harold Wetzel.

    Philip was the loving husband for 50 years to Beverley (nee Rowett) Wetzel, devoted father of Philip Wetzel Jr. of Newton and Christopher Rannou of Andover cherished grandfather of Nicole, Christopher, Greg, and Zach, great grandfather of Hudson and Skylar, and brother of Bob Wetzel of Vermont, Ray Wetzel of Maine, Bernard Wetzel of Florida, John Wetzel of Wantage, Janet Herbert of Wantage, Barbara Cook of Hardyston, and his many nieces and nephews and grand nieces and nephews.

    Relatives and friends will be received on received on Thursday, Aug. 27, from 4-7 p.m. and Masonic services at 6:45 p.m. at the F. John Ramsey Funeral Home, 1 Main Street, Franklin, N.J., and may attend funeral services at the funeral home on Friday, Aug. 28, at 10 a.m., committal and interment services at No. Hardyston Cemetery.
