Peter Lukawitz, Jr.

Peter Paul Lukawitz, Jr., 59, of Port Jervis, N.Y. and a long time resident of the area died Friday, Aug. 21, 2015 at Bon Secours Community Hospital, Port Jervis.

He was born June 13, 1956 in Sussex, N.J. the son of the late Peter Paul Lukawitz, Sr. and the late Harriet Cortright Lukawitz.

Peter was the widower of the late Catherine Milligan.

He worked for Waste Management of Lafayette, N.J.

Surviving are: Son, David Herman of Wayne, N.J.; Daughter, Holly Southard and her husband Dave of Montague, N.J.; grandson, Davian Southard of Montague, N.J.; sister, Linda Lukawitz of Franklin, N.J.; sister, Bobbi-Jo Lukawitz and her companion Tom of Newton, N.J.; niece Bernadette Bednar and her five children Dylan, Zachary, McKenzie, Bradley, Jr., and Clarissa of Port Jervis, N.Y.; nephew, James Beaty of Port Jervis, N.Y.; two sisters-in-law, Linda G. Lukawitz of Newton, N.J. and Mary Milligan of West Milford, N.J.; three brothers-in-law, John Beaty of Port Jervis, N.Y., Stephen Crane of Port Jervis, N.Y. and Dean Malone of Sussex, N.J.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Herbert "Herbie" and Joseph Lukawitz; three sisters, Roxanne and Pamela Lukawitz and Robin Beatty; three brothers-in-law, Herbert "Gary" Milligan, Randall Milligan and Peter C. VanDunk.

Visitation was Aug. 25 at the Gray-Parker Funeral Home, Inc., 100 E. Main St., Port Jervis, N.Y. followed by a funeral service with Rev. Joseph Iannone officiating.

Cremation wasat H.G. Smith Crematory, Stroudsburg, Pa.
