3M band at next Jefferson concert

LAKE HOPATCONG — The 3M Band will perform at the next Jefferson Township 2009 free summer concert on Friday, Aug. 7 at 7 p.m. at the Victorian gazebo located in the Jefferson Township Municipal Complex on Weldon Road in Lake Hopatcong. The Jefferson Township Public Library is sponsoring this concert. Originating in Pompton Lakes in 1971, the band is celebrating its 38th year of playing classic rock ‘n roll featuring the music of the Beatles, Jimmy Buffet, The Eagles, The Allman Brothers, The Grateful Dead and Tom Petty. The five-piece ensemble consists of original members - brothers Larry and Mike Morris playing rhythm guitar and drums respectively. Rounding out the group is Jim Lucyk on bass, Alan Puleo on keyboards and saxophone, and Patrick Black on lead guitar. All five musicians handle vocals. Attendees should bring a blanket or chair; and non-alcoholic beverages, picnic dinners, and snacks are permitted on the grounds unless the concert is moved indoors due to weather conditions.
