Andre's will present local musician

Newton — Local musician Patrick Fitzsimmons will be playing at Andre’s Restaurant & Wine Boutique, on Sunday, April 5. For Andre’s Dinner Tunes Series, doors open at 5 p.m. for drinks and appetizers. Music, along with a three course dinner, starts at 6 p.m. Fitzsimmons is a three-time Ploughshares songwriting contest finalist and has had his songs placed in several independent films. His latest CD, “So Beautiful So Blue,” has made several Best of 2008 lists. He tours throughout the northeast. In high school in Sparta, Fitzsimmons and two classmates formed a band that would ultimately become From Good Homes, a New Jersey-based folk/rock band signed to RCA Records in the mid ‘90’s. The band recorded three CDs with RCA and toured the country sharing the stage with Bob Dylan, the Dave Mathews Band, Joan Osborne and many others. In 2000 the band broke up and Fitzsimmons began his solo career. Seating is available in the main dining room for $45. Non-viewing seats in the adjacent dining room are available for $35.
