Big Apple Comedy Club returning to Newton Theatre

A night of laughs returns to The Newton Theatre stage on Friday, Nov. 29, with the Big Apple Comedy Club.

Andy Pitz, is on the rise and no stranger to The Newton Theatre. He s a regular at New York’s best comedy clubs including The World Famous Comic Strip Live, The Comedy Cellar and Dangerfield’s. On television, Pitz has scored spots on The Late Show with David Letterman, The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, Gotham Comedy Live and as a winner on Star Search on CBS. Pitz has also worked in Atlantic City and Las Vegas where he has worked with numerous national acts including Brad Garrett and The Doobie Brothers.

Johnny Lampert is considered one of the premier comedians in the country. He is a regular at New York City’s and Los Angeles’ best comedy clubs including Carolines on Broadway, The Comic Strip and The Improv and has also made numerous television appearances on MTV, A&E, NBC, HBO “Comedy Showcase”, a multitude of shows on Comedy Central and most recently on AXS TV's Gotham Comedy Live! Lampert's four wildly successful appearances at Montreal’s “Just for Laughs” Festival led to his being named “Best Act” by The Montreal Gazette as well as the signing of a sitcom deal with Walt Disney Television. Lampert was also honored recently with, not one, but two of his routines being chosen for inclusion in the soon to be released book, “The Best Comedy Routines, Period” (Rugged Land Books, NY). In the casinos, Lampert has appeared at The Mirage, Foxwoods, Caesars Palace and The Claridge where he has worked with such stars as Dana Carvey, Michael Bolton, Chicago and Chris Rock. Lampert has also headlined the main room at Connecticut's Mohegan Sun and Atlantic City's Borgata Hotel & Casino.

Originally hailing from San Francisco, Caitlin Peluffo is a comedian living in Brooklyn. After a six year stint in art school where she studied performative video art (no, really...that’s a thing) she has expanded her talents to the stage. Peluffo has opened for comedians Gilbert Gottfried, Colin Quinn, and the late Kevin Meaney. national network debut on CBS’ The Late Show with Steven Colbert and Gotham Comedy Live. She co-produces two monthly comedy shows in Brooklyn; Thick Wit Comedy with Jill Weiner at the Way Station, and Comedy at Rose Gold participated in The Breakout Artist Series for Carolines on Broadway. With Peluffo, no subject is off limits.

Rich Francese has dozens of TV credits including NBC’s “Last Comic Standing,” Saturday Night Live, The View, Late Night with Conan O’Brien, Comedy Central and MTV. He was also a staff writer writer at VIBE and NBC’s Saturday Night Live. Rich appeared in the movie A Night At The Roxbury and was in sketches in HBO’s The Chris Rock Show and NBC’s The Colin Quinn Show.
