Digital camera workshop to start

    BERKELEY HEIGHTS — Nancy J. Ori, an architecture and landscape photogragher, will conduct a workshop called, “I Just Got a New Digital Camera … Now What?” on Sunday, Feb. 1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. The workshop will show participants how to work their new digital camera properly. It will cover basic camera controls and how they relate to lighting, getting the correct exposure, getting good color and composition. The goalis to develop a basic understanding of one’s camera while exploring the characteristic elements of photography: light and shadow, shape, texture, line, pattern, focus, point of view and movement. With over 30 years experience as a professional photographer, Ori is also a exhibited fine artist and instructor. She is the founder and director of the New Jersey Photography Forum and the Heritage Workshop Series, and is experienced teacher through years of affiliation with the Ansel Adams Workshop in California, the Visual Art Center of New Jersey in Summit, the Summit Area Community Schools, Peters Valley Craft Education Center, Somerset Art Association, Newark Museum, Grounds for Sculpture, Morris Museum and the Watchung Hills Adult School.
