Fountain House will host benefit concert

FREDON — The Life is a Miracle Benefit Concert and Bar-b-cue kicks off at the Fountain House at noon, on Saturday, May 2. All proceeds go to the Life Is A Miracle Memorial Scholarship Fund. “This fund, created in our son Liam’s memory, has already gifted two special needs high school students with partial scholarships,” said Laura Fagan. “It is our sincere desire to continue to grow the fund and gift as many kids as we can.” Local and national musicians are lending a hand to the cause. John Ginty will take a rare break from his national touring schedule with Citizen Cope to perform with his Jersey band mates. Tropical Storm whips up a frenzy of percussion driven rock and R&B. Wry Toast Band adds a country twist to their folk rock. Brian McArdle sings melodic country harmonies reminiscent of the Eagles. Joey and the T-Birds keep folks bopping with their doo wop classics. The Pfeiffer Twins open up the festivities at noon. Identical twin sisters, Carrie and Lindsey, are multi-instrumentalists/singer/songwriters. There will be activities for kids. Blankets and chairs are welcome. Barbecued chicken, hot dogs, hamburgers and fixings are include in the price of admission. There will be a cash bar for all beverages. Advance tickets are $20 each online by April 30 or $25 at the door. Free admission to children 12 years and younger. The rain date is Sunday, May 3.
