Masters of the Fiddle: Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy

| 29 Jan 2013 | 07:57

Natalie MacMaster and Donnell Leahy are two of the world's most celebrated fiddlers. They also happen to be married. Together, Natalie and Donnell create fiddle-driven music, dance, and song, combining the best of French, Celtic and American Bluegrass and even Cajun styles and making it their own.

Joined by two highly-acclaimed pianists, Mac Morin and Erin Leahy, the audience will be treated to the foot-tapping rave-ups, heart-wrenching ballads and world-class step dancing. It is an evening enriched by the music, the stories and the warmth of the Cape Breton lifestyle.

"It's always a treat for the two of us to share our passion in life, which is music, and go out on tour together," MacMaster says, "This is very much a family affair."

Masters of the Fiddle will be held Friday, Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. Tickets are $29 to $59.
